About Me

Dr. Shuoyao Wang received the B.Eng. (with first honor) and Ph.D. degrees in Information Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 2013 and 2018, respectively. From 2018 to 2020, he was a Senior Researcher at Tencent, China. Since 2020, he has been with the College of Electronic and Information Engineering, Shenzhen University, China, where he is currently an Associate Professor. His research interests mainly include multimedia processing/communications, semantic communications, and machine learning. He was a co-recipient of the Best Paper Award at IEEE ICC 2024 and WCSP 2024. He is currently on the editorial board of IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, and the IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society.
